Ataxia UK Coventry and Warwickshire Support Group

There are so many awesome people who have ataxia out there who have done or are doing awesome things and from them I have learned so much. I feel truly privileged to be part of the support group network that's out there - be it online support groups on Facebook etc, local Ataxia UK support groups or national conferences. I love this part of having FA so much I set up my own local support group when I was 27 and I can't tell you how much I enjoy it!

The group now has over 30 members. We meet every two months or so, have pub lunches and go on theatre nights. It's such a lovely group. For news on group events and to download previous newsletters etc visit http://ataxiacoventry.co.uk/. The group is also on Facebook - search for “Ataxia UK Coventry”.

This website has been around sinse 1998, and although it's changed a lot over the years it's always been about me and my disability. Over the years I have used many different hosts and website design packages. For the past ten years or so I have used 1&1 as my host and I have always been very happy with it. I have always wanted to learn how to build a website from scratch using Adobe Dreamweaver, so about three years ago I got in touch with Polar Solutions and arranged for a trainer to come out to my home to teach me at my own pace. So I now design this website using Adobe Dreamweaver and the skills I learned on that course.
